framed: 10 by 12 inchesCharming and slightly primitive English Victorian oil painting showing this windswept coastal scene. Believed to show the Dover coastline with white cliffs, with several old fishing boats off the shore. Unsigned but as English as can be. Late 19th cent. Condition report:The painting is rather shabby with scuffs and punctures to the canvas and general dirt. Some repair patches verso and a long area of overpaint to the sea. My advice? Leave it as it is and don\'t have it repaireed any more - its condition matches its charm and appeal. Its rustic and provincial and this all adds to it!~
