Gorgeouspair of handmade primitive shelf sitter pilgrim dolls. Mr. Pilgrim measures approximately18.5 inches tall from the top of his hat to the bottom of his feet. He is sewn from muslin with painted-onhands and shoes. I believe his headis made ofpaper mache andhis sweetface is expertly handpainted. He hasauburn hair peeking out from under his felt pilgrim hat. His black flannel suit has a muslin collar and cuffs. He is holding a string of gourds in one hand.

Mrs. Pilgrim measures approximately 16 inches tall. She is made in a manner similar to Mr. Pilgrim with a muslin body and painted-on hands and shoes. She also hasauburn hair and her head is made of the same material. Her dress is black flannel with muslin collar and cuffs. She iswearing a muslin hat and apron and there are muslin bloomers under her dress. She is holding a pie made from wool felt in her hands. Mrs. Pilgrim is signed on her hand (see 2nd to last picture), but unfortunately I can\'t read the name.

They are a charming pair that was expertly handcrafted.

Both are in very good condition with no tears, stains, or other damage. Mrs. Pilgrim has a tiny spot of paint wear on her cheek (see last picture). They have no smoke or musty odors.
