We are pleased tooffer for salethis lovely Imperial Russia sterling silver and vermeil egg cup.

Vermeil is 18-24 carat gold layered over sterling silver. Vermeil protects the sterling from stains caused by

acidic foods and liquids. Sterling silver tableware with vermeil is scarce and highly collectible.

The floral design on the cup is hand engraved.

The egg cup was produced circa 1910. It bears the kokoshnik assay mark used between 1908 and 1926.
This assay mark denotes .875 sterling silver.
The cup also bears the mark forthe city of Moscow. The maker\'s mark is alsopresent but is unknown to us.

The height of the cup is approximately 2.3/8\" with a diameter of 1.7/8\". Theweight is 30 grams.
