The Puerto Rico Scott #133 has known counterfeits on the market. With a beautifully centered, pristine issue such as this one it was important to have the authenticity certified. Consequently, I had the stamp certified by Sergio Sismondo, Philatelic Expert. His full comments are available by the picture of the cert; however note that hesays:
\" The stamp submitted is genuine in all respects, unused, with original gum , and is in sound condition being free from hidden faults or repairs at this time.\"
This issue doesn\'t appear in this great condition very often and when it does, it sells for a premium. According to Scott, the stamp was \"valid for postage for only one day and for internal use only.\" CV for mint in 2010 was $225.
This stamp is really uniquely nice and represents a rare opportunity to acquire the best for a modest price.
