A solid silver container holding priest oil/balm. It is hallmarked for London 1904 with the maker’s marks being FD& W for Frederick Dendy Wray. a maker specialising in ecclesiastical wear.
Of simple design, but tactile with the screw lid and has been engraved with the single letter I to its lid and side. Condition has no splits but two tiny dings, see pictures. The lid screws down forming a good tight seal. It measures 1 inch (2.6cms) across x 1 inch. Interesting piece for use or for collector.
