Here is a classic jade figure of a smallpig in a standing position with finely carved details and a wonderfully expressive face.
The piece is Chinese, made at some point during the Qing Dynasty.
The figure is hand carved from celadon jade. The stone is pale green in color with a lighter green area on one side. (The photographs don\'t capture the beautiful pale green).

The piece measures 1 1/2 inches (4cm) long and 1 inch (2.5cm) wide. It is 1 1/4 inches (3cm) high. It weighs 27g.
~ Condition ~
There are no signs of damage on this piece and it is in an overall lovely condition retaining its polished finish though the edges are worn smooth from extensive handling over the years.
