The stone was placed with a display of Queen Cutlery Pocket Knives in a hardware, department, jewelry, or drug store that sold Queen Knives for the patrons to follow the instructions and sharpen their Queen ( or any other) pocket knife. The frame holding the stone is wood and measures 8-1/2\" long at the base,2-1/2\" across at the base, and 2\" high. The stone is in glued in the top of the wood frame and measures 7\" by 1\" and is in excellent condition. No cracks heavy wear, or chips. Still 100% functional. There is some wear to the instructions on the side of the frame, but it is totally readable and I point it out to you for honesty of description. Please look at the photos.
