RARE 1870\'s POST CIVIL WAR WOOD BOXED SPENCER COPPER STENCILS DIES LETTER STAMPS
Thisantique stencil setis in very good condition. Everything come in a chestnut wood box. It is 13 5/8\" by 7 1/4\" and 5 1/2\" high. I believe it is almost complete, see pictures. All the block holes for the letter, number, and shape dies are full, none empty. The letter \"O\" is missing from the 1 1/4\" brass stencil set. The 1/4\" letter have an extra \"F\". The 1/2\" letter set is complete. The original catalog is included, it\'s dated 1874. The catalog is 8 3/4\" by 5 5/8\" with 24 pages. The lignumvitae block has lots of brass punch outs from use. Also includes six original small bottles of ink(dry) and assorted brushes. And it also has the original 4\" boxwood rule. After reading through the catalog, it is missing the hammer, a pair of small metal shears, and some other stuff. In my 11 years of selling I have never seen another one of these.
