DESCRIPTION

What I have here to view is a Circa 1890 solid 14K gold heavy large fullhunter cased 1/4 repeater pocket watch with a high grade counterpoised escapementmovement and chronometer grade regulated balance assembly movement in excellentcondition inside and out. The watch comes in the original 19th century box.
Attached to the watch is a solid 14K gold chain with a large fraternal solid14K gold enamel attachment with a knights helmet and skull with red rubyor garnet eyes and another solid 14K gold cross with what appears to be anold mine cut diamond in the center but we have not had it tested. The skulland bible are pythias order and the cross appears celtic were told , earlymasonic but can not verify this. It is definitely a 19th century solid goldcross and is hallmarked for solid gold.

This beautiful solid gold repeater pocket watch came with this solid goldchain with enamel slide. The cross and fobs are all solid 14K goldand comes in the original 19th century box.
Judging by the condition, this watch spent most of its life in this box asit is showing only minimal signs of wear and no dents. The hinges are tight,the hands and dial are in excellent condition and the crystal is scratchfree.
The watch has matching Swiss gold stamps and is fully hallmarked for solid14K gold. The chain and attachments are also solid gold.
The gilt finished chronometer grade repeater movement is of the highest qualityand is crown wind and lever set. The movement chimes beautifully on the hourand at each 15 minute intervals thereafter with a slide on the side of thecase. At midnight the watch will gong 12 times, at 12:15 it will gong 12times plus a 2 pitched ding to indicate 12:15. At 12:30 it will gong 12 timesplus 2 - 2 pitched dings and at 12:45 it will dong 12 times plus 3 - 2 pitcheddings and so on/
The movement is high grade, is clean, is accurate and is running strong.
Note: Never set a repeater pocket watch counter- clock wise.

This is a rare example of a late 19th century solid gold complication repeatertimepiece with original solid gold chain and enameled and diamond attachmentsin the original box in rare excellent condition.
