STRAIGHT FROM AN OLD NEW YORK STATE COLLECTION. A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A VERY RARE 18TH CENTURY TIN GLAZED DELFT "HEART" SHAPED INKWELL IN GREAT CONDITION AND VIBRANT POLYCHROME FLORAL DECORATION WITH BRILLIANT COLORS. DUTCH, CIRCA 1730-1770 ON A REDWARE BASE.

AN EXTREMELY FINE PIECE OF EARLY 18TH CENTURY TIN GLAZE DELFT, WITH A GREAT "VIBRANT POLYCHROME" HAND PAINTED FLORAL DESIGN ON ALL SIDES AND TOP. IT IS ON A BRILLIANT WHITE BASE OVER A RARE REDWARE BODY.

IT IF AN EXTREMELY RARE LARGE SIZE AND HAS TWO HOLES FOR INK POTS AND FOUR HOLES FOR QUILLS OR NIBS.

It is in very nice condition. It has the usual edge roughness and a couple of old glaze lines but no big chips or cracks. One foot has been worn off, see photos for further detail.
