This remarkable, ORIGINAL, 1904 commemorative presentation book was made for the 1904 St. Louis World\'s Fair. It\'s entitled \"Gedenkblatter fur das Goldene Buch der Deutschen in Amerika\" [Commemorative Leaves for the Golden Book of Germans in America]. It has 96 pages of handwritten, facsimile statements-messages (leaves) from German poets, statesmen, thinkers, and artists. The padded covers measure 11 1/2\" x 15 1/2\". Its binding is tight for the most part and the pages are clean. The cover cloth shows some splitting along the spine and the edges of the boards (see images 2 & 3). The covers are also soiled.
