Up for offer is an extremely rare antique fruit bowl made by LIONEL ALFRED CRICHTON in 1917. This is an English sterling silver bowl (.925 pure silver) weighing nearly 28 ounces. Crichton Bros of London / New York is a upper echelon silversmith of the early 1900s and this bowl is a rare find. It has the passant lion indicating it is sterling silver, theungrounded leopard head indicating it\'s English silver, and the lower case \"b\" which signifies the year 1917. Crichton Bros, New York & London is also stamped onthe bottom. This bowl measures 3.75 inches tall by 11.5 inches inlength by 10 inches in width. It weighs 27.6 ounces. This bowl has not been polished or cleaned and could definitely use some shining and polishing - I chose to leave it in as-is condition so that it could be professionally cleaned if desired. There is two very small dings in this bowl. Difficult to see and not very noticeable but felt that it was important to list them. One can be seen inthe pictures (although it will be difficult to see it) and the other is not really noticeable and can\'t really be caught in the pictures--only listing them because I\'m picky and examined the bowl heavily!
