Ithas been impeccably handembroidered with deep dimensionalstunning designs and the method requires filling in the design in the long direction and finishing by re-embroidering on top for an amazing depth and relief.It is a rare andbreathtaking long length of handwork measuring 43\" wide and 56\" long and the fine whitework runs along the lengths of each side of the tulle.These embroideries and handwork pieces are becoming hard to find and were made for special embellishments including bridal dress embellishments and large Normandy lace pieces. It is clean and completely sound and strong. Thereare small holes at each long edge that are, I\'m thinking were from some sort of large frame that held the fabric taught while it was being worked on,but it is otherwise flawless. These old embroideries are very scarce and are great for collectors and perfect for heirloom projects.*** My linens are labours of love and I take great pride in offering the finest selection, condition and variety of unique and special pieces.
