This rare 1926 first edition soft cover book was published by the History Research Society of The Tappan Zee. Book measures 6.25” x 9.25” and has 87 pages. Very good condition.This book is a compilation of inscriptions on the ancient gravestones in the burying ground and constitutes a record of the early Dutch settlers and their descendants (great for genealogical research!). Also a large folding map (18" x 12") containing the layout of existing graves in 1926.Each grave is numbered on the map. An alphabetical index of names is cross referenced to the stone inscriptions and to the position of the stone on the map.This is a extremely rare "must have" collectors item for anyone interested in the First Reformed Church of North Tarrytown (Sleepy Hollow), New York.
