This listing is for a fully functional BATTERY OPERATEDTARGET LION as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in excellent working order. Colors are clear & bright. Litho & plastic parts are very nice.Displays extremely well. No corrosion anywhere. Battery compartment is mint as are the connections. To operate, turn the switch to the \"on\" position. Put a dart in the gun and fire at the target, if you hit the target the lion\'s eyes light up and he turns his head toward your direction a few times and then shuts off. The target/bullseye then resets itself automaticaly for your next shot. I tested the toy by pushing in on the target to activate and tested the gun separately to avoid damaging the tail on the lion. The tail is in perfect condition as if the original pistol and darts. Very neat! This is an awesome toy sure to delight everyone who sees it in action. This is a \"MADE IN JAPAN\" toy listed in Don Hultzman\'s book, COLLECTOR\'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 183. It is a 1950\'s era toy made by the M-T Modern ToysCo. It has a rarity of 8 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $300.00 in C-10 condition. Would make an excellent display to anyone\'s Circus, Carnival or Amusement Park themed toy collestion. Very nostalgic toy.
