A Rare Antique Large Pair of Bronze 19th Century French Empire Period Lions Head Monopedium Furniture Mounts.(Monopedium are animal or human heads on a leg and foot which were originally for Roman chairs or table supports. They were latertaken up by Neo-Classical designers such as Thomas Hope and others).
Highly detailed with Bronze adjustable Rings in their mouths and superbly scrolled Acanthus decoration to their protruding chests.
