An original nineteenth century photogravure printed from a negative by O. Pierre Havens, Jacksonville, Florida, being aplate removed from The Photographic Time, Volume 20, Friday, January 10, 1890.
Measures about 9 x 6 inches (sheet size); plate mark measures 5 x 4-1/2 inches with the image about 3-1/2 inches in diameter.

In about good-only condition with some light foxing, mostly to the margins, a pin-hole to the left of the image, soft crease in the center middle of the sheet (apparently a printer\'s error) and roughness to the binding to any mainland US address at $4.00; for all other addresses actual shipping costs apply.

O. Pierre Havens (American photographer, 1838-1912)
Born in Ossining, New York, Havens moved to Savannah, Georgia, in 1872 and opened a photography studio in partnership with J. N. Wilson. In 1888 he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where he maintained a studio until his death. Like many commercial photographers in America during the late nineteenth century, Havens was as occupied with publishing and marketing his photographs as he was in making them. Stereographs—the most popular photographic form of the period—were in greatest demand.
Havens died in Jacksonville, Florida in 1912.
