RARE: 19th c. Persian Judaica Silver Kabbalist Buckle Amulet in Hebrew NR:
$150.00

For sale is a wonderful piece of 19th c. Middle Eastern (Persian) Judaica. It is a silver buckle amulet, although I\'m not certain of the purity, and it is inscribed in Hebrew with what I believe to be a prayer, but I\'m not certain. A couple friends who can read Hebrew informed me that they could make out the word for \'God\' and \'Devil\' and the name \'Sarah\', but they said that they couldn\'t actually understand what the meaning of the words are in the context of the amulet. I believe that it is derived from the Kabbalah and that the prayer is specific to the individual that the piece was created for. If anyone out there would like to enlighten me, it would be much, much appreciated because I amabsolutely fascinated with this implement of Divine magic! It measures approximately 6\" long and is about 2\" wide. From my understanding, this was worn either around the arm or as a belt buckle. A great addition to the collection of anyone interested in early Jewish art!
