RARE 60/70s (Mod, Hippie, Disco) VINTAGE KILIM BAG - Medium Carpetbag Purse:

GENUINE 1960s / 1970s Vintage KILIM RUG BAG - Made by the Istanbul Grand Bazaar.
Due to the vintage nature of these bags, they are currently a rare commodity. On the high-end they have sold for $600 new (included picture for comparison purposes). Kilim Rugs are traditionally study rugs made out of wool in thick woven beautiful patterns. Many of which served a prayer rugs in the Middle East.
Currently these bags are available for purchase in The Grand Bazaar Market in Turkey or online through a company called The Orient Bazaar (TOB). See photos of their goods and current collection (image#11 & Image#12).
For this particular bag, it has the same beautiful patterns as what they are currently offering. However, the hardware of the bag suggests it was made in the 60s/70s (lack of zipper on the outside & actual metal hardware covered in genuine leather) - The opening of the bag is constructed with metal mouth opens similar to and old-school doctor travel bag. It can be opened and will stand due to the substantial leather base. There is a magnet tab ensure both sides are closed and a smaller tab to pull to open the bag. (see photos)

I would suggest adding insurance for this particular purchase as any damage that happens in-transit will not be covered. Ship without insurance at your-own-risk. Also due to the sensitive nature of the bag, I will only ship this through UPS Ground service ONLY. I\'m shipping a one-of-a-kind bag, I am not risking the tracking / service.
