Rare antique A. Darlot lens. Etched signature on the side of the glass lens. This is a lantern projector lens and quite a bit rarer than the camera lenses. Camera lenses were well taken care of, a major investment by the photographer. Lantern shows were commercial operations, frequently had limited time to set up and break down, and moved from place to place to place, so few lantern projector lenses survive. On top of that it does not have a focus track, which means it is a very, very early version. Estate find from the home of a lens & camera collector.
