This very rare love token has survived in amazing condition from 1796
It has some wonderful intricate carvings and a beautiful poignant motto.
A little wear to the point and some age old marks - but essentially a very fine example of the period.
The piece has a lovely rich patina.
The various white marks which you can see in the photos are just ancient dust and debris that has accumulated in the carvings. It will flick out very easily should you wish to remove - but really it is all part and parcel of the authenticity.
Quite likely fruit wood and possibly Welsh.
Not easy to find in this condition.
Measures 28.5cm long and 3cm wide
Weighs 54 grams
