For sale is a late 1800\'s Victorian Pair of Finely Carved Hardstone Cameo Earrings. The first cameo is that of Zeus and the second is we believe to be Apollo (please let us know if it is another god or goddess). Both cameos are carved agate (possibly\"banded bloodstone\") with amazing details and contrast between the opaque white and dark and light browns. Each cameo is set in a yellow gold frame, we have tested and confirmed to be at least 14K, but the high yellow finish leads us to believe they could possibly be 15ct.The details of the carvings are stunning.The earrings measures 1 inch by 13/16 of an inch and that is just the frame. The total length (or drop from the top of the earring hook to the bottom of the frame is 1 7/16 inches. Both earrings weigh 5.3 DWT.

CONDITION: The cameos are in excellent antique condition, it does appear that the very tip of Zeus\'s nose is nicked off. The frames do show slight wear/patina as they are over 120 years old. Please see all the photos as they too are apart of the description of condition.
