This sale is for a rare and extra large ironstone/stoneware platter by ADAMANTINE CHINA. If you research the maker\'s mark, you will find that this platter was made between the years 1888-1893. I don\'t know how many-or if any survive, as I could not find another like it in my research. It\'s shape is rectangular and measures 19\" long x 12\" wide x 2 1/4\" deep on the sides and 2 1/2\" deep at the corners. It is very heavy-weighing 6 pounds and 4 ounces. In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks-just a gorgeous age related creamy beige patina (random splotches that are a bit darker) that really just adds to the beauty of it. What a rare and unique platter to serve up your Thanksgiving Turkey on. It is plenty deep to hold all of the extras as well. Perfect for use or display.
