This striking 19th Centurygenreoil paintingwas very well executed and signed lower right D or P OSBOURN. This work was recently purchased from an sale in Massachusetts. It was actually a painting that was underneath a later painting, and being used as a backing, so this painting has not been seen in several years.The condition of the work is good...there is not any inpaintingsor repairs...there is however four small pin holes in each of the four corners of the painting, please see pictures....there is also small areas of paint loss where the painting meets the frame. The size of the painting without frame is 10\"x 14\"...so we do believe to be an AMERICAN work...the painting does includethe originalantique gold leaf frame in good condition with someminor chipping.
