Volkstedt was a soft-paste porcelain factory started in 1760 by Georg Heinrich Macheleid at Volkstedt, Thuringia. Volkstedt-Rudolstadt was a porcelain factory started at Volkstedt-Rudolstadt by Beyer and Bock in 1890. Volkstedt began producing its famous lace figurines by the mid-nineteenth century.

This lamp has been in our family for 70 years.
