A delightful 19th Century Black Forest Carved Wood Bull on Rocky Base. All carved from one piece of wood and highly detailed.
Expertly carved with a wonderful rich patina colour that only comes with age.
Condition is excellent for age with just a few scattered worm holes (these are old and have been treated) and the two ears look to have lost the tips, but oncloser inspection they could well have been carved like this to show the ears docked, which they did in those days to identify each individual animal (please seeall photos to satisfy yourself).
