Up for sale here is a gorgeous, yard-long, original ,1896 chromo-lithograph print by the famous floral artist, Paul DeLongpre.

This item is an estate find from an old Culpeper, Virginia estate. I believe it is entitled \"American Beauty Roses.\"

Specifications:

The approximate size is 36\" X 12\", framed. The frame appears to be original to the print and in GREAT condition, sturdy with tight corners, etc.

It has wonderful old wavy glass with some \"apple seeds\" i.e. collapsed bubbles and other irregularities peculiar to old glass. (See last photo.)

It has the original wood backing which has the remains of an old, original paper label. There is also remnants of the original paper dust cover

which also has writing. The old wire hanger & eye screws have not been changed. Please check out the pictures to see some foxing and rippling,

which is common with these due to antique prints having not been printed on acid free paper nor having been matted,

which was not the standard procedure back in the day, for the most part.

It has been packed with care using heavy, 2\" thick Styrofoam panels on both sides to protect the glass.

It will be shipped with adequate labeling re: its fragility, etc.

Shipping insurance is mandatory.

This is the genuine article and you will not be disappointed with it.

A bit about the artist.......

Paul de Longpré was a very famous French floral water-colorist who came to the USA in the late 1800\'s.

He made his home in Hollywood, California and lived there until his death in the early 1900\'s.
