A superb, very old French candle sconce.Made from bronze and steeped in French history.
Certainly one of the oldest pieces I have ever found and although it is timeworn,
it is delightful with its verdigris and patina.
It will hold four candles and can be wall mounted, there is a hanging bar on the back of the
wall fixing.

Condition:
A wonderful treasure for a buyer looking for authentic French history,
who does not mind the imperfections and changes caused by centuries of use.
In shabby chic condition.
With a patina of time, verdigris and traces of old cement on the wall fixing.
Looking very old.
There is some distortion to the metalwork.
Two of the lower arms are fixed, one swivels (seen on the right in the eleventh photo).
Originally all the arms would have been adjustable, the patina of time has set them into place (photo 12)
The adjustable arm can be moved forwards to bring it to the same level as the other two (photos 1 and 2)
There is a small hole in the metalwork seen in photo 10.
Candles not included.
