Up for sale is a rare and quitefabulous antique Decanterwith Silver Overlay and Acid Etched glass design.Made byVereinigte Silberwarenfabriken,Hanua, Germany in the late 19th/early 20th century. See signature mark in the 2nd and 3rdtolast pictures of this listing. The decanter is mounted with silverrepousse collar depicting a courtingscene before a castle all the way around the overlay; the stopper with a decorative silverrepousse.
This rare beauty measures approximately 9-1/2\" tall and is 4-1/4\" wide at its widest point; it weighs just over 1-1/2 lbs.As previously noted this piece is in great condition -only to note there is roughness around the lip of thedecanter as well as a small chip. There is one other smaller chip on the edge of thestopper. Neither of which detract from thisfabulous piece at all. Please refer to close up detail, of the above noted wear, in the very last picture of this listing.
