This is a rare antique paper mache witch candy container, unmarked but certainly German, 4\" tall. She has a beautifully detailed face with a hooked nose and jutting chin, white hair and a black pointy hat. This little witch is holding a black cat which has been painted on, she is also wearing a wonderfully detailed red cape. She\'s a real gem, the pictures don\'t do her justice!
Wear consistent with age, some surface soiling, esp. nose. She has some wear to her pointy hat with paint crazing. There are also two paint bubbles on her forehead, some red paint spatter on the back of her hair and few spatters on face - both manufacturing defects.
