Circa late 1800\'s, this HARD TO FIND and ALL ORIGINAL tinyvalise would make just the right fashionable item for your TRAVELING POUPEE, andwould also be IDEAL to showcase your favorite ALL BISQUE or MIGNONETTE doll!

The valise measures a DIMINUTIVE 4 3/4\" wide, 2 1/8\" deep and is 2 1/2\" high, retaining its original soft LEATHER HANDLES measuring 2 1/2\" wide and 1 1/4\" high! It has wonderful and ORIGINAL DETAIL, including a wood construction with tan EMBOSSED PAPERED exterior with a grainy appearance resembling faux leather, beautiful VICTORIAN DIECUT featuring two lovers hands with tiny blue forget-me-not flowers, and original decorative brass TINY GROMMETS! The back of the valise offers a little bit of ORIGINAL PROVENANCE, with a handwritten note \"To Mike Clark, from John Kay\", indicating this was originally a gift during Victorian times!

But this sweet little piece has inner beauty, as it has the most MAGNIFICENT INTERIOR consisting of original bright red TUFTED SILK embellished with contrasting light blue silk TINY BUTTONS, just the right venue to store sewing needles and other traveling sewing tools!

There some minor age condition issues to its exterior, including some paper wear, some trim loss on the side, old tape reinforcement on the bottom, and a few missing grommets, but the inside is SPECTACULAR and overall this fabulous little piece makes a SWEET PRESENTATION! Please also note that the valise closes when holding the handles together; we don\'t see evidence there was ever a clasp that closed it, so believe the piece was intentionally made this way!
