This antique rubber Native American Chief in full feathered head-dress was originally discovered in an old New england country store. I was told that this indian was once used as part of a cigar display and sat on the store counter. The Indian was made in the seated position and measures about 20 inches tall. The Chief is made of rubber and probably dates from the early 20th century. He is completely hand painted, he is wearing tan buckskins and brown moccasins and each feather in his head-dress is a different color. This figure was made with great attention to detail, from the fringe on his buckskins and the feathers in his bonnet to his proud facial expession. There are some areas of paint loss but overall this rare early Indian Chief is in very good condition! As with all of my items I am starting this sale at $9.99 with !
