A superb Khmer silver Buddha statue. Cambodia. Circa 19th C. Very fine workmanship and attention to detail. A votive dedication in old Khmer on the back. The filling seems to be red wax seal that post offices used for sealing parcels in the old days.

Weight: 469 g. Heigth: 8 inch

Those 19th C Khmer Buddhas are made of sheet silver and filled in with a cement-like mixture, usually clay and natural glue.
