DESCRIPTION:

A superb quality and quite rare ART DECO crystal glass SKYSCRAPER shaped tall Lamp base with SOLID SILVER mounts. The silver work is stamped S.B&S. Ld for S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd with date stamp K for 1932 when this piece was made. This company produced high quality silver ware and decorative furnishings during the Art Deco period. The glass work is good quality with a cut out for the cable route on the base. this piece is in very good order and is very well constructed. This sale is for the base only no shade.

Size: 40 x 13 cms

Condition: This lamp base is in excellent condition with no chips to the glass at all. There is wear to the base as you would expect. The silver work again is in very good order with no dents. The base needs a new bulb fitting as the current one is missing a - however this will be an easy job as it screws off and a new one can be easily wired in and screwed back on ready for a nice shade.
