RARE Antiq CALIFORNIA MIDWINTER INTERNATIONAL EXPO SOUVENIR MEDICINE SPOON 1894 :

Rare California Midwinter International Exposition Souvenir Medicine Spoon (also called Pap spoon), 1894, with a pointed bowl. Imbedded into the bowl of the spoon is a souvenir token with the California seal and Eureka, the state motto, above. Around the \"coin\" is written California Midwinter International Exposition and 1894. The back is marked AM\'N STERLING CO, but this is not sterling-- it is a silver-plated spoon. Condition is excellent-- no dents, dings or scratches on the bowl. The plated surface is worn slightly in places on the back from use, which does not show on the front, only the back. No pitting. There is no monogram, no monogram removal and no buffing. One small dark spot needs polishing. A great find and a rare piece for the collector of Fair Memorabilia!
