Rare Antique 1892 Saratoga-Mancos Gold Mining Company Stock Certificate, Mancos, Colorado. This mining stock certificate is in very good condition for it\'s age, with 2 vertical lines where it was folded where there is some soiling on the back & a tiny spot of something on the back. It is 10 5/8\" across & 7 3/8\" high. The litho printing of the stock is by John Morris of Chicago & it is beautifully done, with an intricate border design & a center image of 5 miners chipping away at rocks in the mine, with an ore cart waiting nearby. They are hard at work, with a shovel, pick ax & sledge hammer. This is a stock certificate for 500 shares at a $1.00 each, made out to a F.A. Bowman. It is number 135 from the Saratoga-Mancos Gold Mining Company in Mancos, Colorado. It was issued on December 13, 1892 & signed by the secretary & president, Rollin Miller & Frank Stubbs. There is a countersignature that I think says: Edward C. Hurmiston. In the lower left corner is the corporate seal from Saratoga-Mancos Gold Mining Co. in Colorado with crossed pick axes & shovel in the center. The back is not filled out. An unusual mining stock certificate from Southwest Colorado, perfect for any gold mining collector.
