Great RARE FORM Late 18th, Early 19th Century Hanging Grease Lamp

This is a double pan crusie lamp. The top pan would have been filled with fuel in the form of grease, lard or oil.

The bottom pan, slightly larger than the top would have caught the dripping oil and soot of the top wick channel.

As you can see this piece has a more scarce construction. There is a great decorated \"acorn\" shape top handle. The pictures speak for themselves on the high quality and scarcer design of this lamp.

Measures approx. 7 1/2\" tall (not including the hanging hook). The hanging hook complete with its nice twist design measures 8\" long.

Some slight oxidation and pitting from age, else very good.
