RARE Antique Experimental Converted Verge? Fusee Pocket Watch Movement Key Wind:
$99.00
A pocket watch movement that was originally a lever fusee or possibly had a verge escapement, I don\'t know for sure.It was converted at some point(I assume long ago, judging by the materials used)to a key wind movement. In the photos of the under side of the dial you can see where the fusee barrel was removed, and discarded. The fusee cone was removed as well, and replaced with a going barrel. Also in the photos you can see a cut out section under where the fusee barrel was, here in between the plates is a sort of brass bridge that houses the escapement wheel and fork.
The balance is good, as is the roller jewel. The balance cock is jeweled. It measures approx.47mm across the dial, the movement itself measures approx.38mm, and is set in a tapered ring that the dial is pinned to.The dial is in nice shape, with no hairlines, just some scratches. It is a thin movement with about 2mm between the plates. The movement does run. I had it running for about 10 hours on a partial wind, but that was only in two different positions, with the hour wheels off. Due to this, I do not consider it a running movement, and is being sold as Not running, as-is, for restoration.View photos for a better idea of condition, and any questions about it please ask.I only ship to the USA,..see exclusions. Thanks
