RARE and DELIGHTFUL Antique HANAU .800 SILVER LARGE TABLE or DRESSER BOX,circa 1910,imported by the prestigious firm of BUCHHOLZ & ZELT, NY, who are well regarded for importing the finest Hanau, Germany silver treasures created in the early 20th century.

This UNIQUE box features exquisite chased workmanship by a Master Silversmith, creating both Exterior AND Interior repousse COURTING SCENES! Even the finest details in the tree branches and flowers remain sharp and clear!! The exterior/lid scene seems to depict a young man and a lady friend enjoying a summer day sitting under a tree in a garden, under the close supervision of the young lady\'s mother, who is nearby andtending to her rose bushes. The garden scene continues in the interior box scene, where the young manis impressinghis lady friend and her mother with a serenade, while playing his guitar. Both scenes are enhanced with chased foliate scrolls around the perimeter and on all four sides of this lovely box.

This item is fully hallmarked with the Buchholz & Zelt \"B&Z\" mark, along with \"800 Germany\". A very nice Table or Trinket Box measuring 3 7/8\" long, 2 5/8\" wide and 5/8\" high. Weighs a generous 105 Grams!
