This sale is for a wonderful early micro mosaic piece. This is another very unusual early piece. This piece is in excellent condition. The tiles are set in malachite. With this unusual teardrop shape, I would guess that this was either an earring or a pendant. I am told this is made in Italy for the Grand Tour period in the late 1800\'s. This piece measures a little over a 1 and 1/4 inches. I know nothing about these, but purchased a collection of micro mosaic and pietra dura that I will be listing (photo 6).
