This is a gorgeous and rare necklace strung with gold-tonebeads alternated with uranium glass beads.
Uranium glassfluoresces bright green under ultraviolet light. For further info on this typeof glassware, click here.
These uranium glassbeads are original from the Art Deco era and are very rare to find even in theCzech Republic nowadays.
The largest uranium glass bead of this necklace measures ca. 0.8 cm (approx. 0.31inches).
The beads are strungon green cotton thread.
The piece is complemented with a stunning Art-Deco clasp decorated with threetiny clear rhinestones.
Details provided by the previous owner: “This necklace was restrung usingoriginal Art Deco beads and findings
which have been thoroughly cleanedbeforehand.”
The necklace is in overall good vintage condition, but signs of time and wear
such as scratches and tiny chips are present(see our close-up pictures).
