Offered is anAntique William KERR Sterling Silver Soap Box with anArt NouveauRepousse of a MERMAID chasing a LOBSTER.
The box is marked \"STERLING\" and \"1507\" and also is marked with the William Kerr hatchet (please seephoto).
The Box ismonogrammedon the back with the letters \"GC\"
Weight: 99 grams.
Dimensions: 3 1/2\" wide, 2 1/2\" deep, and 1 3/4\" tall.
The box is in very good condition, it was only lightly polished before photographing. The hinge and closing clasp work very smoothly.There is normal wear signs such as fine scratches, a very minor dent in the upper left corner, and a subtle impression along the edge of the design that may have been part of the original manufacturing repousse process (please see photos).
