You are offerding on a very rare Rapier sword that I believe came from France. This sword is in awesome condition for its age and appears to be really well made. The blademeasures approx 25 inchesfrom tip to hilt. Hilt to the end of the handlemeasures about 5.5 inches, giving the sword an over alllength of just under 31 inches. The handle it self looks like it isbraided with some kind of copper or bronze wire and is still in tact and in great condition. The real silver inlay in this swordconsists of flowers, vines, people dancing, And other designs. This is very detailed and appears to be hammered in work done by a high end silversmith. I have had Rapier swords in the passed but I have never seen one with this much work, And never with this many silver inlays still in tact. Its not uncommon to see authentic Rapier swords bring well over 3,000 dollars in this condition with no inlays. This sword comes from a private collection in which illness forces the sale of it.
