RARE GIGANTIC ANTIQUE FRENCH STERLING SILVER & VERMEIL COVERED CIBORIUM Circa 1850
Noblesse Collection propose you through the photos which follow this very big ciborium,being 31 cms high (12,2 inches) with a diameter of the bowl of 12 cms (4,72 inches)!,with a spectacular decoration of Rococo style.
It is completely in sterling silver with the bowl in vermeil (silver-gilt).Observe the quality of the numerous details richly chiseled of six applied oval Patron Saintson cover bowl and basein the Baroque style of the French XVIIIth century.
This magnificent piece of religious silversmith\'s trade is a manufacturing of famous silversmith\'s family : Favier, which practiced from 1824 till 1976 in the city of Lyon.They were the big French specialists of the religious pieces and many of their works are nowadays visible in numerous treasures of cathedrals.

The cover bowl, lid and base are stamped with the French Minerve 1st Standard silver mark (950/1000).The bowl is not stamped but it is necessarily the original bowl in vermeil (silver-gilt).
The lid and the base are stamped with the maker\'s mark : FAVIER FrèresCirca 1850.Symbol: a sun between two letters F.In perfect condition : No bump, no distortion , no sinking. Any misse in the decoration.No tear in the decoration of the base.ABOUT USNoblesse Collection is based in Le Mans in France.
