Here is a nice example of an older (c1975) CLASSIC CLOUD KACHINA, an OMAU-U,which is in EXCELLENT condition for age - see pics! This Kachina was made by an expert HOPI maker - \"WK\"(on bottom of sash). This is a collectible, RARE and older Kachina!

This is a fine looking Kachina, with a quality paint job and expert carving. He is made from solid Cottonwood Tree Wood standing about 11\" tall (including head feather), and about 4\" wide at hands. There is some very minor wear as expected from age/use(nothing noticeable - just my disclaimer)- but in Excellentto Near MintCondition. No cracks or breaks! This guy is a traditional Wall Hanger (hangs by a string on wall but can stand as well).

The body is carved from a single piece of the traditional Cottonwood - a tree that grows in washes and canyons where water is more HERE IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A HIGH QUALITY / VERY WELL MADE AND FINE LOOKING HOPI KACHINA - A WELL CARVED AND PAINTED, MORE REFINED VERSION of a OMAU-U KACHINA. From Barton Wright\'s 1984 revised Book: \"The Omau-u Kachina formerly appeared in the Mixed Dances...This Kachina ...is now virtually unkonwn. The doll only appears in the older collections. It appears to be a doll representing clouds in general and is form was widely variable at the different Mesas...\" AN OLDER CLOUD KACHINA AND OF THIS QUALITY IS HARD TO carved and painted by a master Hopi Kachina carver/maker WK!!!!

Good condition for age and a true Collector\'s item!!!!
