BISQUE SCULPTURE BY PUCCI

Up for sale is a large Capodimonte sculpture made in Italy by the artist \"Pucci\". The sculpture is titled \"Napoleon\" and was modelled after the famous painting \"Napoleon Crossing the Alps\" by Jacques-Louis David. It depicts the famous French General on a fiery steed leading his army across the Alps through the Great St. Bernard Pass in May 1800. His cape is blowing in the wind, his right arm is outstretched, and he has a sword on his side. The sculpture is made of bisque porcelain and is finely detailed. I\'m not sure when it was originally made, most likely during the mid-20th century.This wonderful figurine is quite large and stands about 13 1/2\" tall. It measures approximately 12\" long and 7 3/8\" wide. The front rim is impressed with the \"Pucci\" signature in a gold cartouche and the top of the base has the \"N with crown\" mark used in the Capodimonte region. The underside of the base is marked \"HAND PAINTED NAPOLEON BY PUCCI 1906\" and also has the \"N with Crown\" logo. I purchased this Capodimonte figurine at a recent estate sale. It\'s guaranteed to be a vintage Capodimonte sculpture and not a modern knock-off. Please check my positive response and offer with confidence from a trusted seller.

Condition of this Capodimonte sculpture is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. It\'s many delicate features are completely undamaged. It was obviously well cared for. This collectible bisque sculpture looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would make a wonderful addition to any Capodimonte collection.
