Rare Design ANTIQUE NW PERSIAN TRIBAL SHAHSAVAN Sumak-weave Khorjin (saddlebag) front, last quarter of the 19th century, and coming in relatively good original condition for the collector. The exact size is: 1\'-7\" x 1\'-9\" (48 x 53 cm). A rarely found cruciform medallion design Shahsavan sumak saddlebag facing that has two areas of repaired tear slits in the upper right quadrant (see close up photo # 4). Silky wool quality and a fine sumak weave structure sets this one apart from others. The weaving is all wool in construction with 100% natural dye lots derived from organic plant sources.
