This strange and rare Doulton Lambeth aesthetic chimney, column base or stand. It is marked with the Lambeth Doulton impressed mark and dates to the 1880\'s and has the artists initials incised and other various marks impressed. It is a very well detailed column with stylized flowers and leaves and two rows of holes around the base and is decorated in the glazes typical of Doulton during this period. I am not entirely sure what it was designed for and is perhaps a base from an oil lamp or jardiniere or was simply designed as an architectural embellishment.

Good overall condition. Large chip and other smaller chips to top rim. Two shallow chips to base rim. No other cracks or chips.

Measures approx 28cm or 11\" tall.

I do not make money on Postage/Shipping fees… Fees are Actual Postage Cost plus cost of packing materials...I re-use boxes in the interest of recycling and to keep costs down but not excluding, nor limited to, bought in bubble wrap, parcel wrap, polystyrene packing kernels, plastic sealed bags, jiffy bags, bought in pizza boxes and special size boxes, the real killer is parcel tape.

I post overseas but for items over 2KG in weight I have to use a special courier and this increases costs significantly. Please contact me for a quote. Thank you.
