DescriptionSTRAIGHT FROM AN OLD CONNECTICUT COLLECTION OF EARLY BRASS AND LIGHTING.
AN EXTREMELY RARE 17TH CENTURY DUTCH BRASS CANDLESTICK WITH A STEPPED ROUND BASE AND EXTREMELY BOLD VASE BALUSTER STEM, Holland, circa 1660-1690, in near perfect condition.
A GREAT BOLD EARLY STICK.
A WONDERFUL MID 17TH CENTURY CANDLESTICK IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION AND IN A NICE OLD SURFACE AND PATINA.
Great early form with a stepped round base and a very bold baluster turned stem with an early form round candle cup with a single clean out hole.
The turnings on the shaft are heavy and deep.
The color is an AN GRUNGY OLD CLEANED surface. The condition is near perfect with just the minor dings and surface abrasions you would expect from over 300 years of use and one very small loss on the edge of the base.
The stick is is still tight.
Approximately 7\" tall and the base is about 4 1/2\".
