Edward VIII sterling silver coronation souvenir tea spoon, hallmarked London 1936 (Leopard head, A, lion)

Also bears the makers mark JW&Co, for Josiah Williams & Co of Augustine Parade, Bristol. According to various silver makers sites;

The firm was the largest manufacturing silversmiths in England outside London, Birmingham and Sheffield. The activity was established in Bristol by William Woodman at the beginning of the 19th century. The business was succeeded by Robert Williams. In 1845 James Williams took in partnership his two sons James and Josiah Williams, trading as Robert Williams & Sons until his retirement in 1853. The business was eventually transformed into a limited liability company in c. 1925, under the style Josiah Williams & Co (Bristol) Ltd (until c. 1940).

The spoon has been made beautifully, with the crown above the head of King Edward, terminating down the tang with a floral-esc design.

Excellent condition, minor wear to the hallmarks, expected with the age, no damage, overall very nice and VERY RARE! (please see pics).
